Dr. Joe and Meagan dedicate their pediatric dental office to their son, Samson, naming it “Son Shine” as tribute.
Although he wasn’t here for long, Samson brought them insurmountable love and joy to last a lifetime. He was truly a ray of sunshine in their lives and will continue to shine through them. While helping the children in our community Dr. Joe promises to give your child the same care and love he has for Samson. Every child deserves to have a smile that shines!
Everything was going according to plan and they could not wait to meet their baby boy. As most tragedies happen unexpectedly, Meagan and Dr. Joe are no exception to the hardships of life. Meagan suffered a severe pregnancy complication late third trimester and Samson Shine was born into heaven March 24th, 2024.
They were blessed with expecting their first baby in April of 2024. Over the moon with excitement Dr. Joe and Meagan prepared for nine months for the arrival of their baby boy, Samson Shine.
The couple fell in love and Dr. Joe proposed to Meagan on the lake where they met. One year later, they were married and had their fairy tale wedding.
Dr. Joe met Meagan on the Fourth of July on Lake Erie. He was finishing up his last year of dental school at LECOM when the two started dating.
Our practice is named after Dr.Joe and his wife, Meagan's, late son who brought a brief yet unforgettably bright ray of sunshine into their lives, Samson Shine DiBenedetto. With as much love in our hearts as possible, we promise to care for your children who are just as important to you as Samson was to us.

Dr. Joe is a board-certified pediatric dentist in Waterford with over five years of experience. His caring nature and gentle demeanor found the perfect home in the pediatric specialty. That’s why, after finishing his dental degree at LECOM School of Dental Medicine, he completed a two- year pediatric dentistry residency at NYU Langone. Learn more about Dr. Joe by clicking below.

Our pediatric dental office is located in Waterford, just south of Erie off upper Peach Street. When driving south on Peach continue half a mile past Auto Express Kia and the office will be on your left. If you are coming from Waterford, we’re an easy drive down the road from Robison Elementary School right next door to Fucci Insurance Group. For more detailed directions please call our office.
