Dental Crowns

We offer customized dental crowns for both adult and temporary teeth. For baby teeth, we utilize stainless steel restorations for the back molars. If the teeth we’re restoring are more visible, we also use crowns with a white composite strip to make them blend in with the rest of the smile. Typically, we don’t recommend children’s dental crowns unless a tooth either has a very large filling, has received pulp treatment, or is otherwise damaged and compromised. The goal is to secure the crown over the affected tooth, sealing it off and protecting it from harmful oral bacteria, as well as restoring its shape.

Tooth-Colored Fillings

Tooth-colored fillings are the gold standard for cavity treatment. Instead of placing a noticeable metal filling, Dr. Joe uses a biocompatible composite resin. This material is closely selected to match the shade of the existing tooth and molded to be placed in the decayed area of the tooth to seal it off. Once the filling is secured in place, the cavity will no longer be able to spread, and the tight seal will keep out debris and bacteria.

Pulp Treatment

Toothaches caused by infections that are seated deep within the tooth, in the inner chamber, can not only be painful, but also compromise the structure and health of surrounding teeth. At our pediatric dental office near Kearsarge, Dr. Joe offers same-day emergency dental visits to help your child get out of pain with pulp treatment. This procedure involves removing the portion of infected pulp (the soft tissue and nerves in the tooth’s inner cavity). After sanitizing the area, Dr. Joe will seal the tooth back off with a dental crown, preserving your little one’s pearly white.

Full Mouth Reconstruction

If your child is dealing with multiple cavities or tooth infections, Dr. Joe can help rejuvenate the health of their smile with a comprehensive full mouth reconstruction treatment plan. This will be a custom-tailored plan based on Dr. Joe’s findings and in collaboration with you, their parent or guardian. Our goal will be to restore the comfort of their smile as well as its structure, helping maintain their confidence and oral health.
